Kyoko Mori, ACSW

Hi, I’m Kyoko! I’m an Associate Clinical Social Worker with a relational, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and LGBTQIA+ affirming approach. I borrow from mindfulness, motivational interviewing, CBT, DBT, and attachment-based work—but therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, and neither are people.

I’m bilingual and bicultural, and before becoming a therapist, I spent many years as a hairstylist and salon owner. I work with adults from all walks of life, including military members and spouses navigating trauma, deployment, relationships, identity, and life’s many transitions.

​

My beloved sidekick, Puppy Jaxon, joins me in life both in and out of therapy. On weekends, you may find us at Coronado Dog Beach or Fiesta Island, where he gives 100% to getting as sandy and filthy as possible—and I spend the rest of the afternoon getting him clean, fluffy, and presentable again.
