My Story

Seeking support can feel unfamiliar or even uncomfortable, especially if you've learned to handle things on your own. My goal is to create a space where you can show up as you are without pressure, judgment, or the need to explain every part of your identity to be understood.

My work as a therapist is shaped by real-world experience in community and crisis-based settings. Ive worked with individuals navigating housing instability, youth in the foster care system, probation-involved populations, children on the autism spectrum, and migrant children and families. These experiences have deepened my understanding of how stress, trauma, and systemic barriers can impact mental health over time.

Because of this, I approach therapy with an awareness that people come from different cultural backgrounds, family systems, and lived experiences that shape how they cope, communicate, and move through the world. For many BIPOC clients, this can include navigating cultural expectations, intergenerational patterns, and environments where mental health hasnt always been openly discussed or supported.

In our work together, you won't have to minimize those parts of your experience. Therapy can be a space where those realities are acknowledged and respected, while also focusing on what you need to feel more grounded, clear, and in control of your life.

My approach is direct, supportive, and practical. I use evidence-based tools like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), while adapting to what works best for you. Therapy isn't one-size-fits-all, it should reflect your goals, your values, and your pace.

I work with individuals navigating anxiety, stress, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions. Whether you're feeling stuck, burnt out, or trying to better understand yourself, therapy can be a space to reconnect, build insight, and create meaningful change.
